LCS & Partners represented Shin Kong Financial Holding Company in its merger with Taishin Financial Holding Company, which was approved by the ROC Financial Supervisory Commission on July 24, 2026.  The new company name after the merger is Taishin Shinkong Financial Holding Company.  After the merger, Taishin Shinkong Financial Holdco will hold 100% of the shares of both Shing Kong Bank and Taishin Bank.  This merger was approved by the board of both financial holding companies on June 4, 2026 with consideration of approximately USD250 million in both cash and shares.   The effective day of the merger is set on January 1, 2027.
