Our firm acted as Taiwan legal counsel to MetLife, Inc. (NYSE: MET) in its acquisition of global asset management firm PineBridge Investments, which manages approximately US$100 billion in assets. The counterparty to the transaction is Pacific Century Group. The deal, valued at US$1.2 billion, has completed regulatory filings with the Financial Supervisory Commission of Taiwan in June of this year.
